This heavy 18k gold mans’s ring is inlaid with iron meteorite, or siderite. The meteorite has been etched with nitric acid to reveal the characteristic patterns, or Widmanstatten figures, of iron meteorites. This is a subtle contrast to the rich color of the 18k gold.
